Armenian Relief Society of Australia A Humanitarian Organisation Cruise2

The Armenian Relief Society (ARS) Australia marked a significant milestone with its inaugural 60th Anniversary Cruise, an unforgettable journey filled with celebration, cultural pride, and community spirit. This momentous occasion brought together members, supporters, and distinguished guests for a voyage that truly encapsulated the essence of ARS Australia’s mission and legacy.

The cruise set sail with a vibrant sail-away party, after each guest was gifted an ARS cruise 60th anniversary gift pack that included a memorable bag and hat. At the official opening, guests were warmly welcomed by ARS Australia Chairperson, Ungh Nora Grigorian, who spoke of ARS programs, the significance of the inaugural cruise and expressed her gratitude to the event’s principal benefactors, Mr. and Mrs. Eshkan & Eshkhanouhi Simonian, for their invaluable support. The event featured a solo performance by Sako Kaprielian and an inspiring International Women’s Day (IWD) address by Ungh Tanya Sarafian. The event was hosted by MC Ungh Shoushan Sariyan and included an official cruise photo with the over 220 guests, setting the stage for an extraordinary journey ahead.

One of the highlights of the cruise was the Kef Night, a joyous celebration of Armenian culture and heritage. The renowned Masha Manjoyan delivered an electrifying performance, igniting the dance floor with her captivating voice and energy. The spirit of Armenian music and dance was alive throughout the evening, as attendees embraced the rich traditions that have been at the heart of ARS Australia’s mission for six decades.

As the voyage continued, participants had the opportunity to explore the historic city of Hobart. However, the festivities did not end with the day’s excursions—another lively celebration awaited guests upon their return to the cruise ship. The night was filled with music, dance, and camaraderie.

The cruise celebrations culminated with a Purple Party in honor of International Women’s Day, an event that embodied both festivity and empowerment. Masha Manjoyan once again captivated the audience with her dynamic performance, while Ungh Teres Pamboukian played an important role as MC at all three major party nights, where all guests danced the night away.

As the inaugural ARS Australia 60th Anniversary Cruise came to a close, it was evident that the 4 day cruise had left an indelible mark on all who participated. The journey was not only a celebration of the organisation’s 60-year legacy but also a testament to the strength and unity of the Armenian-Australian community.

A heartfelt thank you goes to the dedicated sub-committee, volunteers, and supporters who worked tirelessly to bring this extraordinary event to life. Their efforts ensured a seamless and memorable experience for all attendees, reinforcing the values of ARS Australia and its ongoing commitment to cultural preservation and humanitarian efforts.
